2014 Medical Student Essay Contest

ATTENTION MEDICAL STUDENTS IN CALIFORNIA CONSIDERING THE OB/GYN SPECIALITY!

ACOG-District IX (California) is proud to announce our 7th annual medical student essay contest. We are looking for original essays addressing compelling issues in obstetrics and gynecology.

This year, ACOG-District IX invites submissions on the following topic:

"What is the impact of obesity on the specialty and what are your suggestions for how to address it? How will ACA figure into your approach?"

Up to 3 winners will receive sponsorship to attend the medical student program at the Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM) in Chicago, April 27-29, 2014.

Submit essays (no more than 2 pages in length) by email to mclark@acog.org by Wednesday March 5, 2014. A cover letter is required with the author’s full name, phone number, email, name of medical school and year in medical school.

Essay contest is open to medical students in California only. Previous winners are not eligible, however you may submit an essay if you have entered before but did not win.
