CMQCC Preeclampsia ToolkitThe California Preeclampsia Toolkit was released in January 2014 by the CMQCC Preeclampsia Task Force, co-chaired by ACOG District IX Fellows Maurice Druzin, MD and Laurence Shields, MD and CMQCC Clinical Director Nancy Peterson, RNC, PNNP. The primary aim of the Toolkit is to guide and support obstetrical providers and healthcare organizations to develop processes for timely recognition and an organized response to preeclampsia. A highlight is the identification of "triggers," or clinical warning signs, that require immediate evaluation and communication with the provider, whether in the prenatal clinic, the emergency room, labor & delivery or postpartum.
The Toolkit may be freely downloaded at https://www.cmqcc.org/preeclampsia_toolkit. Please direct others to the website for Toolkit download rather than sharing the PDF. Information obtained from the brief registration required for download will help CMQCC demonstrate value and impact of these tools made possible by support from the California Department of Public Health, Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Division.
