MRT Decreases Non-Medically Induced C-Section Funding
The New York State Legislature and the Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) have adopted a proposal to reduce non-medically induced cesarean deliveries reimbursements to $19,200,000 - (a decrease from the previous $24,200,000).
District II worked with the MRT addressing many concerns with the original proposal which did not take in account clinical reasons to perform an induction prior to 39 weeks gestation. Read the two following letters to NYS Health Commissioner Dr. Nirav Shah, detailing District II concerns.
