Prenatal Smoking Clinicians Guide

The Smoking Cessation During Pregnancy Guide has been revised.

This guide describes evidence-based methods for screening and counseling pregnant and postpartum women who use tobacco. The"5 A's" approach is an effective way to ask about and treat tobacco use in a clinical setting serving pregnant and postpartum women. The guide includes information about how to integrate smoking cessation intervention into routine prenatal care as well as how to code and bill for screening and counseling.
