Announcement of the Winner of the ACOG History Fellowship

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists announces that there are two recipients of the year 2017 Fellowship in the History of American Obstetrics and Gynecology:  Rachel Louise Moran, Ph.D., whose research project is titled “Postpartum Depression and Changing Ideas for Women's Health in 20th Century America,” and Wangui Muigai, a Ph.D. candidate at Princeton University, whose project is titled “Disparate Beginnings: Infant Mortality and Race from Slavery to the Great Depression.”

 

This award carries a stipend of $5,000 to be used to defray expenses while spending a month in the College Resource Center historical collection--and other medical/historical collections in the DC area--performing research into some area of American obstetric-gynecologic history.  Applications for the year 2018 award will be accepted until 1 October 2017.
