Sample Section Meeting Invitation Letter

Dear Dr. Doe:

The time is upon us to get together for our annual Florida Section meeting and dinner. This year we will be meeting in conjunction with the University of Florida, "Update in Obstetrics and Gynecology," on March 28-30, 2008 at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Orlando.

Our Junior Fellow meeting will be on Thursday, March 29, 2008. Wyeth-Ayerst has offered to sponsor our meeting and will be bringing Morris Notelovitz, MD, PhD, from Gainesville to speak to us. His address will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. and our annual business meeting to follow. Due to the gracious support of the Florida Section ACOG Fellows and Wyeth-Ayerst, there will not be any additional costs to those attending the dinner; however, dinner reservations are required.

At our meeting, we will be accepting nominations for and electing our next Junior Fellow section vice chair who will take office after the District IV meeting in October. We will also be discussing any news which comes out of the Junior Fellow Advisory Council meeting to be held in January.

If you plan to attend the dinner (whether or not you attend the University of Florida Ob/Gyn Update), please return the enclosed Junior Fellow meeting registration form (bottom half of the announcement) to me at the address listed above prior to March 20, and indicate whether you will be bringing a guest. If you are also planning to attend the University of Florida Ob/Gyn Update, you will need to fill out that registration separately, but you may mail them together.

Hope to see you in Orlando in March.
