Higher Education Loan Program

Do you need financial assistance to make it through your training? If you have completed your first year of ob-gyn residency or are enrolled in an approved fellowship program, you may qualify for a low interest loan from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Currently, maximum loan amount is $10,000 at 4.5% per annum and you are not required to begin paying it back until one year after your training is completed. Applications are reviewed twice during the year in April and November. The deadlines for submitting applications are March 1 and October 1 of the year in which you wish to be considered. The applications are then reviewed by the HELP Loan committee who determines which loans to award.
