Cancer Resource Guide - Information - Women's Cancers

Women’s cancer, or gynecological cancers, include cancers of the reproductive tract and the breast.  There are many websites with information about prevention, screening, early detection and treatment.  Several are listed below although there are many more.  The NCI and ACS have general information on cancer and on gynecological cancers.  The other sites are mainly focused on women’s cancers.  

American Cancer Society  (ACS)

ACS has a website that provides information about guidelines and information about cancer for men, women, and children.  The information can be general but there is also very specific cancer site information.  Information is also available about clinical trials, statistics, research and the latest news.  Treatment recommendations and guidelines are also given.

Gynecologic Cancer Foundation

The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation website includes information on women’s cancers.

National Cancer Institute (NCI)
www.cancer.gov

NCI has a wealth of information on cancers in general and also has very specific information.  It has information for men, women and children.  It also has information about clinical trials, statistics, research, and the latest news on cancers.

US Department of Health and Human Services
www.4woman.gov

This site has information about women’s health that also includes information on cancer.
