The District IV Perinatal Committee is in the process of gathering data for its yearly perinatal report. The committee is seeking to expand this year’s report by including Hispanics in the ethnic subsets of the report’s perinatal topics. The report will be submitted at the District IV Interim Advisory Council Meeting in 2014.
The committee’s long-term goals are to provide the District IV Advisory Council with up-to-date information on perinatal issues that may be useful in making decisions about research and district-wide projects. This year, the district was honored with a Council of District Chairs Service Recognition Award for the committee’s efforts in perinatal data collection over the last seven years. The award is given to an ACOG district or section in recognition of an outstanding activity it has contributed to the field of ob-gyn.
