The Committee on Continuing Medical Education (CCME) is made up of representatives of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' Districts, liaison members of international organizations with whom the College sponsors postgraduate courses (Federaction Mexicana de Ginecologia y Obstetricia; Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC), representatives from the College programs such as the Committee on Scientific Program (CSP) for the Annual Clinical Meeting, and the Editor-in-chief of the College Update Series. The staff includes the Vice President for Education, Associate Director of the Department of Continuing Professional Development, and Program Specialists of the Department of Continuing Professional Development. The CCME oversees the development of postgraduate courses, jointly sponsored programs and enduring materials to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Essential Areas and Policies. The primary role of the CCME is to ensure quality and consistency in the content development and design processs for each educational activity.
