PGY 2 POSITION(S) AVAILABLE

University of Texas at Houston - Memorial Hermann Hospital Program, Houston, TX
A PGY-2 position will be available beginning June 24, 2016. Eligible applicants must have successfully completed or will complete PGY-1 in an ACGME-accredited OBGYN Program by June 23, 2016 and passed USMLE Steps 1 and 2 on the first attempt.  Interested applicants should submit the following information for review: Cover letter including reason for leaving current program; current CV; ERAS application, transcript, USMLE Step 1, 2, & 3 scores, letters of recommendation, personal statement, MSPE and common application form; CREOG scores for PGY-1 year; current ACGME Oplog report summary for surgeon and assistant; a list of completed rotations including dates; a summative competency-based performance evaluation and milestone evaluations, a recommendation letter from your Program Director verifying your rotations and a statement of your standing in the program. Baylor College of Medicine-Houston, TX
PGY-2 position available at Baylor College of Medicine. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing at an ACGME accredited OB GYN program and will have successfully completed the PGY-1 year of training by June 26, 2016. All applicants must have passed USMLE Steps 1, and 2 or COMLEX Steps 1, and 2 and be able to begin clinical training on June 27, 2016. Interested candidates should prepare the following information to submit for review:  Medical school diploma, complete ERAS application (medical school transcript, MSPE, USMLE scores, personal statement), ECFMG certificate (if applicable), current CV, cover letter addressing rationale for desire to transfer programs, ACGME OpLog case summary, list of completed rotations including dates, CREOG score (when available), a letter of good standing from your current program director verifying your training and progress in the program, and an additional letter from a faculty member in your current program.   Other information such as a summative competency-based performance evaluation, and your milestone evaluations is helpful.  Your program director will need to submit a summary evaluation of your performance prior to beginning any clinical duty. Interviews will only be granted to applicants with permission of their current Program Director. All materials should be sent in a single PDF file to Drea Fletcher, Academic Coordinator, at andrea.fletcher@bcm.edu.  You will be notified of an opportunity to interview after your material is completely reviewed.  

Stony Brook University: Stony Brook, NY
PGY-2 position available for July 1, 2016. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing and currently in an ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program, and should be eligible to work in the State of New York. PGY2 position available at Geisinger Health System. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing and will have successfully completed the PGY1 year of training by June 30, 2015. Icahn School of  Medicine (Jamaica): Jamaica, NY
PGY-3 OBGYN position has unexpectedly become available for academic year 2016-17. Interested candidates must have successfully completed, by June 2016, two years of training and be in good standing at a fully accredited ACGME Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Training Program. The following application materials should be sent via email to Ms. Marilyn Johnson, Residency Program Coordinator at johnmari@nychhc.org. Include a copy of your ERAS application with Dean’s Letter / MSPE / Medical School Transcript / USMLE Scores Step 1, 2 CS/CK, and Step 3 / Current CV / Medical School Diploma / Cover Letter explaining reason for leaving current program/ and CREOG scores for the past two years. University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah
PGY 3 OBGYN position for July 1, 2016 due to resident change of specialty. Eligible applicants must have completed two years of training in an accredited ACGME OB/GYN residency program as of June 2016 and have either completed USMLE STEP 3. We will initially require: ERAS application, USMLE scores, MSPE, copy of medical school transcript, copy of medical school diploma, and a cover letter or personal statement explaining reason for leaving current program. We will later require: 3 reference letters from your current program (one must be from your current Program Director listing current rotations completed and articulating that resident is in good standing and expected to complete the PGY2 year by June, 2016) and copy of your ACGME case log.  We will need to speak to your current Program Director before offering you this position. International medical graduates must include ECFMG certificate, should be a U.S. citizen or be a U.S. permanent resident.

Virginia Tech-Carilion School of Medicine, Roanoke, VA
PGY-3 position available July 1, 2016. The ideal PGY 3 candidate MUST be an active resident in good standing at his or her current program and will have completed 2 years of training in an ACGME approved residency program by June 30, 2015. It is expected that the candidate will have successfully passed Step 3 of USMLE or COMLEX. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The following information is REQUIRED for consideration: 1) A cover letter that thoroughly explains your reason for leaving your current program or desire to transfer; 2) Current CV; 3) ERAS application; 4) Medical school transcript; 5) Step 1,2 and 3 USMLE or COMLEX scores ;6) CREOG scores for PGY1 and 2; 7) Current letters of recommendation, including one letter from your program director, and at least two letters from active faculty; 8) Current and complete OPLOG report; 9) List of completed rotations including dates and brief description of responsibilities. Kaiser Permanente Medical Group (Northern California/Oakland) Program – Oakland, CA
PGY3 position available July 1, 2016 at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California.  Applicants must currently be in good standing as a PGY2 in an ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.  Applicants should submit the following to the Program Coordinator Veleta Whitfield at Veleta.L.Whitfield@kp.org: (1) cover letter describing your reason for leaving your current program, (2) copy of your ERAS application or an updated CV, (3) two recent (within the prior 6 months) letters of recommendation from current program faculty, (4) letter of recommendation from your current program director also verifying your good standing, (5) USMLE transcript, (6) CREOG scores, (7) list of completed rotations including dates, (8) summative competency-based performance evaluation, (9) milestone evaluations, and (10) updated ACGME OpLog case summary.  Additional documents may be requested.
