Attention Junior Fellows

Junior Fellow Update: New Initiatives
by Ashley Graul, MD
Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident
Pennsylvania Hospital

This year, the Junior Fellows are continuing to work at being active within PA ACOG. After a successful SOLD conference where new leaders joined the ranks, the Junior Fellows have come up with some great ideas. Our Junior Fellow Vice Chair, Bethany Beasley, is currently working on an awareness campaign of what ACOG has to offer. Her idea of an "ACOG bulletin board" has been produced at Lehigh Valley and, once established, will hopefully be reproduced in surrounding OB/GYN residencies. As the PA ACOG Junior Fellow Chair, I am in the process of putting together a "Resident Wellness" activity that will raise money for an as yet undecided group recipient. We will provide for a small fee an instructional yoga class in Center City. Residents from across Pennsylvania will be invited to join.

On a larger note, we are joining with the District Junior Fellows to create a district-wide fundraiser bowling event which will be held in each state separately but coincide on the same day. A second event being discussed on a district level is a social event between district residencies within Center City Philadelphia. We hope to bring awareness of ACOG to participants of this event, as well as develop new friendships.

We wish to thank the Fellows for their support in all of our endeavors and hope to have a successful, event-filled year!
