ABOUT THE GUEST
Cara A. Busenhart, PhD, CNM, APRN, is faculty at the University of Kansas (KU) School of Nursing where she is director of the Nurse-Midwifery Education program. Cara’s current practice covers women’s health care across the lifespan. She volunteers at JayDoc Free Health Clinic, Women’s Health Initiative Program, where she provides care to vulnerable populations. Cara has also developed practice opportunities interprofessionally with the OB/GYN and Family Medicine Departments at KU School of Medicine/University of Kansas Hospital. Cara completed her PhD at the KU School of Nursing. Her research focus is on interprofessional health care education, competency-based education, and quality indicators for education.

Tea Time with an OB-GYN is a nonpartisan podcast to discuss local issues pertinent to Kansan ob-gyns, including Medicaid expansion, midwifery practice, and more. Our goal is to get residents in Kansas engaged in local politics, whatever their beliefs.
