John Gibbons Medical Student Travel Award
What it is:
The John Gibbons Medical Student Award program is offered to help encourage medical students to select obstetrics and gynecology as their chosen specialty. John M. Gibbons Jr., MD is a past president of ACOG who recognized the importance of medical students to the future of our specialty. This award is currently being offered to help supplement medical student travel expenses incurred while attending the ACOG 2014 Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM), Chicago, IL, April 26 - 30, 2014.
How to Apply:
All ACGME accredited New York State medical school clerkship directors are invited to submit the names of active, ACOG District II medical students in good standing who have demonstrated a strong interest in obstetrics and gynecology and are current 3rd or 4th year students. Email your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- March 10, 2014 to apply for the travel award to the 2014 ACM
Medical Students who participate in the program will be asked to submit a post-ACM experience report (one-page) to the District II Advisory Council.
