For your reference, below are a list of non College affiliated grant opportunities, which you may find helpful. Should you have questions, please contact the granting agency.  This list is meant to be a resource in your search for funding. 

 

The National Vulvodynia Association invites US and foreign basic science or clinical investigators to submit research applications for a Medical Research Award to study the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and/or treatment of Generalized Vulvodynia and/or Provoked Vestibulodynia (previously vulvar vestibulitis syndrome). The maximum grant amount is $30,000. Applications are accepted twice a year with deadlines of March 15 and September 15.

The National Vulvodynia Association invites faculty interested in pursuing their clinical and/or academic interest in vulvodynia to apply for the Dr. Stanley C. Marinoff Career Development Award. The award provides $7,500 in seed money for either medical research, writing of a publication on vulvodynia, or the organization or enhancement of a vulvar pain clinic. Applicants must have a clinical or full-time faculty appointment up to the level of assistant professor. Applications are accepted once per year and are due on May 1st. Awards are granted in August.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund offers several different grants depending upon the stage of your career. The grant cycle is currently closed, but to be placed on the mailing list to receive more information in Spring 2015, email grants@ocrf.org 

The American Cancer Society offers several grants in the areas of research, professional training and the role healthcare plays in detection, prevention and treatment.
