Flu Season 2015-2016

The College has issued an algorithm to assess and treat pregnant women with influenza-like illness (ILI). This algorithm applies to pregnant women with ILI even if they have been vaccinated. Click here for the algorithm.

Pregnant women are at significant risk for respiratory complications, preterm labor and delivery and ICU admission due to flu. Infants 6 months and younger are also at an increased risk of severe illness and even death from the flu.

The flu season is unpredictable and the best protection against getting sick with the flu is the flu shot. It's not too late to get one! Project yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. find a flu shot clinic near you.
