Abortion Resource Guide - Local Services

Websites listed below identify locations of facilities or programs that provide abortions.

Abortion Clinics Online

A national website, Abortion Clinics online, has a listing of many abortion clinics throughout the United States.  The local yellow pages may contain more comprehensive information under the listing "Abortion."

National Network of Abortion Funds

State Medicaid funds cover “medically necessary” abortions in 16 states.  In these states, if the physician indicates that, “the pregnancy would have a profound negative impact on the mother” the abortion is considered medically necessary.  Most states fund abortions only for life endangerment or rape/incest.  When women and girls cannot afford a safe, legal abortion, they can turn to the members of the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) for help. These NNAF member funds subsidize the cost of an abortion. Many abortion funds provide information and support, and some provide related services such as transportation, housing, child care, options counseling, or funding for ultrasound, pregnancy testing, or follow-up care. The site directly helps women find resources to enable them to obtain an abortion.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America

Planned Parenthood believes in the fundamental right of each individual, throughout the world, to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual's income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence.  Plannedparenthood.org is the gateway to information on how to access abortion services in communities throughout the United States.
