CREOG 10th Edition of Educational Objectives

CREOG Educational Objectives were developed by members of the Education Committee approved by the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG). The information serves as a guideline to curriculum development and is intended to be adapted to many different situations, taking into account the needs and resources particular to the locality, the institution, or the type of practice. Variations and innovations that improve the quality of resident education and patient care are encouraged. A comprehensive residency program in obstetrics and gynecology should encompass the specialty and intrinsic objectives.

Annotated 10th Edition CREOG Educational Objectives

The CREOG Education Committee is pleased to provide the Annotated 10th Edition CREOG Educational Objectives as a resource to Ob/Gyn residency program directors, residents, and coordinators. This project was started in 2013 in preparation for the development of the 11th edition of the CREOG Educational Objectives. The Annotated 10th Edition CREOG Educational Objectives is presented in Excel spreadsheet format to allow searchability.  Each of the units (General Considerations, OB, GYN, REI, etc) is separated into its own individual worksheet within the file.  The Genetics Unit was reviewed and added to its associated general content worksheet (e.g., REI genetics is within the REI worksheets).  Each objective is identified with assignations of core competencies, milestones, and curricular/content references.  We hope that this document will be helpful for curriculum development and educational enhancements.
