Why should I attend the Annual Meeting?
The ACOG Annual Meeting includes critical programming that will benefit your practice. You will learn about cutting-edge research and science, while also networking with peers and leaders in your field. The meeting also features Maintenance of Knowledge courses that will help you study for exams. By attending the meeting you can also earn up to 30 CME credits. See more reasons to attend here

Is there an Annual Meeting app?
The Annual Meeting app will be available on Android and iPhones. Check back in the spring of 2016 to get more information about how to download the app and how it can help you make the most of your meeting.

Am I permitted to record sessions I attend for personal use?
Unfortunately, attendees may not record sessions themselves. However, you can purchase recorded content through the Virtual Meeting. Sign up for Virtual Meeting when you register

REGISTRATION
What is the cost of the Annual Meeting?
Registration fees for the 2016 Annual Meeting include Colloquia, Clinical Seminars, Surgical Tutorials, and the Film Festival. Register early to get the lowest rates.  Advance registration saves time and money and guarantees the largest selection of clinical seminars, lunch discussions, postgraduate courses, and surgical tutorials, all of which must be booked in advance. ACOG also offers discounts on housing, travel, and special tours of Washington, DC for spouses and guests.

How do I register for the Annual Meeting?

Registration is easy. To register online

  • Go to Registration page 
  • Click on Register
  • Fill in the attendee information sections and select the sessions you would like to attend
  • Calculate the full cost using the table provided and choose your preferred method of payment
  • SUBMIT with one simple click

You can also register by fax or mail. Simply download the preliminary program and print out the registration form at the end of the program.

Yes, you can register onsite at the Registration Counter.
ACOG recommends you register in advance to get the lowest rates, and to reserve space in the sessions and seminars of your choice. Popular sessions fill up quickly! Remember that you can also send in your registration form by fax or mail. Download the preliminary program for instructions.


What are the registration hours at the Annual Meeting?
You can register for the Annual Meeting onsite at the registration counter. Registration Hours are

Do I need a badge to attend the Annual Meeting?
Yes, you must have your badge on you at all times while at the conference. You can pick up your badge and other registration materials at the registration counter. Please remember that the wait time on our busiest days is approximately 45 minutes. ACOG strongly recommends attendees pick up their registration materials the day before their first session.

I registered in advance. Where can I pick up my badge?
If you register in advance, your registration information, including your name badge, tickets, final program, and other information will be available onsite at the Advance Registration counter, located in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Where do I get my Certificate of Attendance?
The Certificate of Attendance information is not available at this time. A link will be provided to attendees at the meeting and post-meeting. Those attendees completing evaluations on-site will receive their Certificate of Attendance then.

 What if I have to cancel my registration?
All cancellations or changes must be received, in writing, by April 8, 2016. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund less a 20% processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after April 8, 2016. Please email, fax, or mail your cancellation to:

HOUSING
What hotels are you recommending for the Annual Meeting?
ACOG has negotiated discounted rates for attendees and exhibitors at hotels near the convention center. Book through ACOG’s Housing Center by April 8, 2016, to take advantage of these special rates. ACOG Annual Meeting participating hotels are within walking distance to the convention center.

Can I earn CME credits at the Annual Meeting?
Attendees can earn up to 30 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. Physicians can claim up to 30 AMA PRA or College Cognate Category 1 Credit(s) for time spent participating in conference activities. See breakdown below of credits per day.

How much science will be presented at the Annual Meeting?
ACOG has dramatically increased the amount of science presented at the Annual Meeting. ACOG provides a variety of session types to satisfy any learner. From formal lectures and seminars to hands-on workshops and informal lunch discussions, you are sure to find the format most beneficial to you.  Sessions presented by subspecialty societies are also incorporated into the meeting to increase collaboration within obstetrics and gynecology and enhance the educational value of the meeting for the practicing ob-gyn. Can I download course materials before the Annual Meeting?
Attendees can download course material both prior to and during the meeting. Get instructions for downloading eSyllabi and other course material.

Can I purchase recordings of sessions I cannot attend in person?
Yes. You can sign up for the Virtual Meeting when you register (only $199 for Annual Meeting attendees).
Virtual Meeting provides attendees with access to session recordings after the meeting. One package includes all postgraduate courses. Another package includes general courses including clinical seminars, lunch seminars, surgical tutorials, subspecialty sessions, and colloquia lectures. Virtual Meeting is a great way to benefit from all the presented research.


To sign up, click on Register Now. After reviewing your contact information sections, select the sessions you would like to attend and simply add Virtual Meeting to them. It’s that easy!

Which subspecialties will be represented at the Annual Meeting?
A variety of subspecialty sessions will be available at the meeting to enhance collaboration within Obstetrics and Gynecology. These sessions are presented by subspecialty societies and geared to the practicing ob-gyn. View full list of sessions here

Will postgraduate and hands-on courses be taught at the Annual Meeting?
Three-hour and six-hour postgraduate and hands-on courses will be part of the educational program at the meeting. These clinically-oriented courses are taught by leading experts in the field. Will there be exhibits at the Annual Meeting?
The ACOG Annual Meeting holds the largest exhibition in the country for obstetricians and gynecologists and related health care professionals. Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about new products and resources from more than 200 pharmaceutical companies, equipment manufacturers, medical suppliers, book publishers, healthcare providers, and other organizations, including ACOG.

The Exhibit Hall will be open Sunday, May 15 and Monday, May 16 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Can I purchase ACOG publications at the Annual Meeting?
You can purchase ACOG Publications and patient materials at the ACOG booth (#610) in the Exhibit Hall. The Exhibit Hall will be open Sunday, May 15 and Monday, May 16 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

MEETING EVENTS
What are the opportunities for Junior Fellows/Residents at the Annual Meeting?
In addition to a robust program and networking opportunities, the Annual Meeting will hold Junior Fellow Day on Sunday, May 15, 8:15 AM—7:00 PM. This all day event helps junior fellows transition from residency to practice. It is filled with activities and talks geared specifically to junior residents, including ABOG information for exam prep, subspecialty roundtables, and Junior Fellow/Young Physician Reception on Sunday evening. 

What are the opportunities for Medical Students at the Annual Meeting?
The Annual Meeting helps medical students get their career off to a great start with specially designed programs and social events, including the popular Residency Fair and Medical Student Reception on Sunday evening. View Medical Student Events
Medical students will also benefit from the meeting’s educational program, which includes hands-on courses and flip classrooms. Students should also take advantage of networking opportunities and events to meet their peers and experts in their field of interest.


Is there a Career Fair at the Annual Meeting?
The Career Fair will be held on Monday, May 16 from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM at the Marriott Marquis. However, you do not have to wait until the Annual Meeting to move your career forward. Access hundreds of job postings and post your CV at ACOG Career Connection.

What is there to do at the Annual Meeting for spouses and guests?
Your spouse and guests can experience our nation’s capital through special tours available exclusively to Annual Meeting attendees. Events are available each day of the meeting. View Spouse and Guest Tours

What is there to do at the Annual Meeting for children?
While you learn about the latest research, your children can explore Washington, DC Camp ACOG welcomes infants from 6 months of age through teens of 15 years. A $20.00 non-refundable administrative fee guarantees your child’s place in Camp ACOG. The on-site activity center is offered for children ages 6 months - 5 years of age for $5.00 per hour per child. Off-site youth tours are offered to those ages 6 years and older for an additional $40.00 per child. Lunch is included for those enrolled on off-site tours.

Please remember that children are prohibited from the entering the Exhibit Hall at any time.
