Events & Meetings: ACOG TV Coming to the Annual Meeting

What does the 2016 ACOG Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting have in common with popular TV shows such as Dr. Kildare, General Hospital, M*A*S*H*, House, Scrubs, and Private Practice?

Sure, all are about doctors. But what if we told you that, beginning with the 2016 ACOG Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting, all of these are excellent examples of broadcast TV shows about doctors and the good things they do?

It’s true. ACOG is pleased to announce the launch of ACOG TV at the 2016 Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting, May 14-17, in Washington, DC.

ACOG TV is an onsite conference television channel which will feature a new episode daily at the Annual Meeting. It will air on monitors throughout the conference site and in selected hotel rooms. ACOG TV will serve to raise the visibility and hard work of obstetricians and gynecologists and provide an opportunity to learn about new and ongoing scientific research and clinical care advancements in women's health.

Each daily episode will include:

  1. Sponsored "Thought Leadership" interviews with leading institutions in the ob-gyn specialty and providers of women's health care programs and initiatives. These are arranged for, paid for, and recorded prior to the meeting.
  2. Live "Conference News" interviews with ACOG leaders, speakers, organizers and attendees at the Annual Meeting.

ACOG has partnered with the international film and broadcasting company, WebsEdge, to produce ACOG TV. Peer medical societies who have worked with WebsEdge report a positive experience and an end product that brings flavor and excitement to their Annual Meeting.

WebsEdge is currently soliciting institutions and organizations to participate in the sponsored "Thought Leadership" portion of the program. If you or your organization would like to explore having a film featured in the program, please contact Sally Nelson at WebsEdge.

Please contact ACOG Director of Marketing Gary Bennett, with any questions about WebsEdge or the program in general.

Be sure to register now for the Annual Meeting. It will be bigger and better than ever before. Advance registration rates and advance hotel rates are in effect only until April 8.
