Clinical Practice: ACOG Issues Two Key ACOG Committee Opinions: Cell-Free DNA (cfDNA) and Human Papillomavirus Vaccination (HPV)

To help clinicians provide evidence-based care and educate their patients, ACOG has issued two revised Committee Opinions online, ahead of print: "Cell-Free DNA Screening for Fetal Aneuploidy" and "Human Papillomavirus Vaccination."

Cell-Free DNA Screening for Fetal Aneuploidy

ACOG and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaborated to update Committee Opinion 640, "Cell-Free DNA Screening for Fetal Aneuploidy"(originally published in 2012).

Human Papillomavirus Vaccination

ACOG’s Committee on Adolescent Health Care and the Immunization Expert Work Group have updated Committee Opinion 641, "Human Papillomavirus Vaccination," which now includes recommendations on the 9-Valent HPV vaccine.

The College has also developed an HPV More Information page, which provides additional resources that may be helpful for ob-gyns, other health care providers, and patients.
