Advocacy & Health Policy: Take a Pledge for Parity this International Women’s Day (March 8)

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day, March 8, is Pledge for Parity. This theme reflects not just education or advocacy in support of women, but also the importance of taking active steps to support women across the world, including in the United States.

Just as ob-gyns are focused on each woman’s entire well-being, ACOG is dedicated to improving the lives of women in many ways, and this means equality: equal access to care and equal access to opportunities.

As ACOG prepares to join in the dialogue to support equality among genders, we also invite you to join the Pledge for Parity yourself. Take a few moments to fill out this form, which allows you to pledge to:

  • Help women and girls achieve their ambitions
  • Challenge conscious and unconscious bias
  • Call for gender-balanced leadership
  • Value women’s and men’s contributions equally
  • Create inclusive, flexible cultures
